Summer Missions Trip 2012 FAQ
When?
June 8th-18th, 2012
Who?
Open to anyone over 18 years of age.
Where?
The Philippines.
What’s the cost?
$2,600.
What is included in the cost of the trip?
1.
Roundtrip airfare from Kona, Hawaii to Manila, Philippines
2.
Airfare within the Philippines from Manila to Naga City
3.
All ministry ground transportation. (Any personal/individual travels, to the store, shopping, etc, is your own responsibility.)
4.
All basic meals, breakfast, lunch, dinner. (Any snacks or meals outside of team meals are the individual’s responsibility.)
5.
All lodging.
6.
Group outings.
7.
Translator and guide fees when and where necessary
What is not included in the cost of the trip?
1.
Personal souvenirs or gifts to bring back home.
2.
Personal sight seeing expenses.
3.
Personal preferences of food, snacks and drinks in addition to the team meals provided.
4.
Any excess baggage fees associated with over weight personal luggage.
5.
Any visa, lodging, transportation and meals if you choose to stay in the Philippines longer than the team’s return date.
6.
Any personal vaccination shots.
Can I purchase my own airfare from Kona, Hawaii to Manila, Philippines?
Yes, however, you must be able to arrive in Manila on June 8th, 2012. If you purchase you own airfare to Manila, your cost for the trip will be $2,200.
How many bags am I allowed to take?
We ask that you will bring only (1) bag weighing no more than (50) pounds. Although the airline will allow you up to (2) check in bags, due to our travels and the type of transportation available in the Philippines, more than (1) bag makes getting around rather difficult.
When do I need to pay the $3,000?

$1,500 deposit by April 1, 2012
2.
Balance due by May 31, 2012

If you are not able to pay your deposit by May 31st, you will be responsible for any and all additional cost in airfare both international to the Philippines, and locally within the Philippines.
Can I raise support for my mission trip?
Yes! We encourage all our applicants to raise funds from friends and family. YWAM - Holo Holo Ministries is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization so donations given on your behalf are tax-deductible. Checks must be made out to YWAM – Holoholo and they can attach a note with your name on it. If the check is made out to you personally, the IRS will view it as a personal gift and your donor cannot get tax credit for it.
How do I make a payment? Send a check or money order, made out to YWAM – Holo Holo Ministries, to PO Box 4010; Kailua-Kona, HI 96745. Attach a note stating the payment is for you. Or you can call our office for more information about payments. Payments are not tax-deductable.
What will we do?
Minister to people in the squatter villages around smokey mountain in Manila and Naga city dump.
What kind of ministry will we do?
1.
Door to door evangelism
2.
Conducting church services on Sundays.
3.
Prayer walks in and around the city and the squatter areas
4.
Work service ministry. Sharing the love of Christ in a tangible way. Assist in a service project or after school tutoring.
5.
Worship team and leaders.
6.
Sign and dance outreaches in local schools.
7.
Conduct intercession and healing prayer ministries
What’s the purpose?
1.
To personally get closer to God and gain new revelation of His love for us and others as we minister in Him.
2.
To share the love of Christ in very tangible ways.
Will I need vaccination shots?
They are not necessary, but the few that are recommended are the following:
1.
Up to date tetanus
2.
Hepatitis B vaccination
3.
Thyphoid vaccination
Who pays for the shots?
You will need to pay for and arrange for your own shots prior to the outreach.
Will I have time to visit my friends or family in the Philippines?
Not within our ministry dates. You may make arrangements to stay in the Philippines longer, however, any additional cost including but not limited to food, housing, transportation, visa, etc are your own personal responsibility.

Fly to Manila
Arrive in Manila 7pm-settle in, prepare for Sunday service
Church service in Malabon
Smokey Mountain Visitation, team building ministry
Service Ministry in Malabon
Fly to Naga. Outreach in Naga Schools
Outreach in Naga Schools, City Dump feeding
Day off at Waterpark
Outreach in Iriga or Naga
Church services at various churches in Naga. Dinner celebration with new friends and converts
Fly to Manila, shopping
Debriefing in Manila, Fly back to Hawaii
